Late Regency Rosewood Sofa Table
A superbly coloured late Regency Sofa Table. This antique has had just the right amount of exposure to allow figured grain to be seen at its best. As you can see in the photographs the colour is even all around with hardly any movement to the two drop leaves.

Standing on four squat brass castors, the quatrefoil base supports the single mahogany turned pedestal which leads to the frieze where there is a single flush faced, oak lined drawer on each side. Each drop leaf is supported by two tapered fly brackets.

Dimensions:
Height 27 inches
Width Closed 37 iniches
Width Open 57.5 inches
Depth 24 inches

The table has been professionally cleaned and the polish revived to retain the wonderful colour. (Carried out by Gilboy's Furniture Restorers) The colour and years of use have been retained and preserved which is difficult to achieve with Rosewood. The table has not been waxed at the time of photographing as we felt it showed off the amazing grain.

Georgian Solid Elm Cricket Table
Late 18th century Georgian solid elm Cricket Table. A superb naturally aged and well patinated table. Constructed of solid elm throughout with wonderful figuring to the top.

The entymology of this term 'cricket table' is hard to define. Commonly this type of table and also stool, were hand crafted and could be found outside public houses and inns close to village greens where the game of cricket was often played. The term may also come from a small three or four legged stool dating from earlier in the seventeenth century of the same name.

This antique dining table has its original finish and has not been "polished" by us or by others in its past. There are the expected signs of centuries of use and the waxed finish has small scratches and plate marks as to be expected. We do not intend to touch the antique dining table finish unless the new owner requests it, in which case we will carefully clean and revive the waxy finish to give a more even patina. (additional cost £280.00) The legs are all original and have no signs of previous breaks. The table is currently on display in our showroom.

This item is an antique dining table and character marks can be seen due to the age. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs.
