This attractive antique Edwardian Davenport has been fully restored by ourselves and is now in great condition. It features Satinwood Inlay to the slope, the front face panel and the top box lid. The top writing box has deep letter trays and working lock. The main body has four mahogany lined drawers with four opposing dummies and all have working locks and brass escutcheon. The main compartment also has a working lock. The castors may have been replaced.
A wonderfully coloured and figured walnut antique Davenport desk, retaining its original leather on the slope together with its untouched French Polished finish. Incorporated into the top are two recesses for the pounce jar and inkwell also featuring a concave recess for an ink pen. The leather lined fall of the antique davenport opens to reveal a simple decorative maple fitted interior with two small drawers. Fitted with four drawers and decorative mahogany scrolling supports on ceramic castors.
